Species of Dracaena have a secondary thickening meristem in
their trunk, which is quite different from the thickening meristem found in
dicotyledonous plants and is termed Dracaenoid thickening by some authors. Many
species of Dracaena are kept as houseplants due to tolerance of lower light and
sparse. Dracaena is a slow-growing plant that can be used as a table plant,
bush, or short tree.
Care:
Fertilize the plant in spring just before new growth
appears. Provide water only to the soil do not water on the foliage. Water the
plant only when the upper layer of soil becomes dry. The vining plant is prone
to spider mites, which can be combated with horticultural oil or neem oil.
